The second boat ever produced as a full-size Hess Toy, this highly limited, 3rd addition to the Collector’s Series commemorates Hess Corporation’s 90th Anniversary with a bigger and bolder design inspired by the Company’s offshore operations. This stunning Explorer ship and helicopter combination, with nearly 60 lights and an unprecedented 5 different sounds, joins the ranks of most exclusive quantities made, and is a unique collectible that salutes our growth from humble beginnings with a single fuel oil delivery truck to a global leader in energy exploration and production.

The Ocean Explorer ship is resplendent in the company’s signature green and white coloring, with green hull-side striping, and dark tinted windows. A total of 48 lights includes 2 super bright bow-mounted searchlights that each swivel 120˚, and interior lighting on the clear paneled bridge, all of which operate in steady-on or flashing modes. The guidance assembly with 360˚ rotating antenna is flanked by four buttons on the top deck that flash the lights while activating amazingly realistic engine start, cruising, foghorn, and air horn sounds. Raising and lowering the elevating helipad activates a hydraulic sound. The ship has fixed position molded appurtenances including inlayed anchor, hoses, radar domes, and rudder/propeller. The underside is equipped with four free rolling wheels and a commemorative 2023 ‘license plate’ is illuminated on the stern.

The turbo engine helicopter is white with bold green rotor blades and body side striping. Dark tinted windows and chrome embellishments create the ideal color contrasting. A total of 11 switch activated lights includes 3 super bright fixed-position spotlights that can operate in steady mode independently or in tandem with the button activated motorized top and rear rotors. Free rolling, retractable landing gear enhances the realism and compatibility with the ship’s custom helipad.
