I started buying Hess Trucks for my son in 1989. Now that tradition has carried over to my grandson . He loves both the mini version and the Christmas version. For the price they can’t be beat. They are well made and all the lights and sounds are an added bonus.

My family loves Hess trucks! I get the mini series every year for my son
We gave our 7 year old son his first Hess truck this past Christmas (2019). It has been his favorite toy to play with! When we saw that there was a mini-collection, he saved up his own money to pay for it. He was so excited about getting it. However, once it arrived and he started playing with them, he noticed that all three of the cars squeak badly when he drives them/plays with them. Very disappointing! He paid almost $30 of his own money to buy these cars to play with. For that amount of money, they should not make the squeaky noises that they make.
I get these (and the big one) for my dad who will be 88 years old this August. He says he doesn't "need" them and to stop buying them for him, but I know if I did he would be very disappointed. I know that in Kewanee, Illinois, where they live, the local library had a display of some of the Hess trucks my dad has. The folks of Kewanee are not familiar with Hess. It's fun to see all the Hess trucks on display (in their boxes) when I visit my parents. Thank you.
