Mobile Museum a Success in Boston
November 14, 2014
The Hess Mobile Museum keeps on trucking along the East Coast. After successful stops in Chicopee and Ware, the tour continued to the Franklin Park Zoo where tour managers Mark and Jamie met enthusiastic fans (and animals).
At the zoo, a young fan was enjoying the kids’ zone coloring area when he approached tour managers with some ideas for future trucks. He showed them some of his current favorites and used crayons to draw a few of his new ideas.
The inflatable replica of the original 1964 tanker was a huge hit with young fans and a great backdrop for family photos.
Other “fans” of the Hess Toy Truck came by way of flight. A teeny owl spent some time at the Mobile Museum with fans and even got his pilot’s license before departing.
After the Franklin Park Zoo, the Mobile Museum stopped at the Martha Eliot Boston Children’s Hospital to drop off a shipment of toy trucks and children’s cards. Mark and Jamie were met with smiles and hugs as they greeted patients.
